Baby Raccoon Rescue

In the summer of 2012, apartment residents heard this baby raccoon crying after it had fallen inside a wall from the open attic in the building.

Roy, Chad and Sean of Engine #3 to the rescue with a ladder, followed later by Marc, Don, Tom and Roman of Truck #5. Entry to the baby’s tomb was not possible, so inside they went, where they excavated a hole in the wall and produced the little one. Without the consent of Monica, the apartment manager, and the willingness of our Boise Fire Department and the firemen above, this baby surely would have died. Thank you.
